Exquisite Reconstruction

To look back and search for your sweetest dreams,

Where you might have dropped it, along this journey.

Sustaining just few recollections of this lifelong path,

Succumbed to this path of non-infringement.

Had no time to gather fallen memories,

Those very memories that complete us,

Now bears no trace of recognition

Or, of those long gone days of our union.

Then you stumble on to a friend

Who opens the gateway of days behind.

How beautiful were those simple deeds, you gather

Like Mr. Amnesia, on its pathway to reconstruction.

Come one and another, refreshing those dormant days;

And slowly but surely, the picture begins to take shape.

Some are lost forever, some wait to be unearthed,

Until someday, my life, will be picture perfect exquisite.

    Again, how familiar.

  2. I love this. I write often about my past and my memories. I love the picture it makes as many of those memories meld together. Nice writing!
